These techniques are demonstrated in a cadaver lab and are usually applied in pelvic obliquity in deformity, long fusions from L2 or above to the sacrum, in large sagittal corrections, high-grade spondylolisthesis, sacrectomy, pelvic dislocation, lumbosacral fractures and revision surgery.
