OOT presents a complex case of osteogenesis imperfecta (OI) in an adolescent female patient with a combined kyphoscoliosis of the thoracolumbar spine.
Because of the bad bone quality, a hybrid fixation technique has been applied, combining strategic pedicle screws with intermediate sublaminar wiring according to the Luque technique. A one year follow-up of the case demonstrates a stable, unchanged correction of the deformity, with a good functional result.
